Silver Band of Heaven by Marshall Humble

Peoples in Eastern Asia believed that the hazy band of stars was the "Silvery River" of Heaven (Chinese: 銀河, Korean: eunha and Japanese: ginga). In one story, the stars Altair and Vega were said to be two lovers who were allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month, when a flock of magpies and crows formed a bridge over the galactic river. That day is celebrated as Qi Xi, the Seventh Night (Chinese: 七夕, Korean: chilseok and Japanese: tanabata). -Wikipedia

Sunset in Provence by David Bouscarle

Hello everyone,This is new version of an old photo. I want to switch to a Full Frame and I am trying to change my DSLR and it is to my dealer's shop, and I do not have the means to take pictures right now. However, I try to improve myself in the post processing and I did some training in photo clubs with professional experts, so here is a new processing! Sunset From Provence in the small villlage Murs, the hometown of my family. Here you can see the little valley just below the village. There are basically crop fields grown there since the Middle Ages. There are already some flowering trees announcing Spring. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murs_(Vaucluse) It's 5 shots in manual Bracketing, Assembled in photoshop in manual blending, edited with Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.Click on the photo to fully enjoy the contrast in the lightbox. Thank you for your visit. http://www.facebook.com/pages/David-Bouscarle-Photographie/149591818526668Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/DavidBouscarle
