Follow me on FB After draining our cameras by endless startrail shots and milkyway down the hill, we had back to the top of the hill for some final Milkyway sightings, and everyone fixed their own particular spot till the morning, while i was found this old building, the light painting was done by Sagar who was finding something from the other side of the hill, his high beam of light provided me with some light on the building and thus the shadow of the rails. By the morning hours everyone were exhausted, but no one was ready to put away their camera, while most of us got the best frames during the end hours cause the Milkyway was in the middle of the sky during that time.Canon 6D | Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 | f/2.8 + 35sec | ISO5000

Really great sunrise light on Portland's favorite mountain. I look this shot just this past winter and it has fulfilled a multi year quest of mine with a heck of a back story to it. I wouldn't recommend this one unless you have good backcountry skills since you have to cross 3 avalanche hazard zones. The view up here makes it worth the effort though.

Farming The Rift II by Aaron J. Groen

"Farming The Rift II" --- A meteor streaks across the Milky Way over this farm tractor in South Dakota. Canas Canon EOS 60D and Canon EF 16-35mmf/2.8L II USM lens at 20 second f/2.8 3200iso used for the sky and 30 second f/4 1250iso used for the foreground, both were taken in the same location about 15 miles North of Salem, South Dakota. The meteor/milky way exposure was taken at 3:24am 5-7-2013 and the tractor shortly after, using only a flashlight to light-paint the tractor. This was by far the biggest and brightest meteor I have ever captured. www.facebook.com/HomeGroenPhotography Copyright 2013 Aaron J. Groen

This is one of my favorite shots of all time. Was emulated from an other fellow photographers work. I was so impressed with the work that I had to have my own collaboration with this. It was met with great publicity, but also was scrutinized for being too much like the original and was blamed for being the same. I think that if you find something that looks good that someone else has done and want to try it yourself. Then by all means you should! By no means is this stealing work of any sort. Photography is just a bunch of different concepts captured in the frame differently by each individual. Even if the capture is the same by two different people, the concepts captured are still completely different. Any who I'm done trying to sound smart lol. Hope you enjoy this one everyone! If you haven't already please add me on Facebook here:Follow On Facebook! Also uploaded brand new work on Flickr here:Flickr
