Corn Lily Twins by Sarah Fischler
One of the joys of backpacking is having/making the time to take images like this. One of the difficulties is choosing a reasonable selection of gear to take along. Here, having my diffuser would have made this easier. I was hunched over in a field of corn lilies, under the hot sun, using my body and a heavy down coat draped over one arm to create enough shade to eliminate the hot spots on the plants. I am sure that anyone passing by would have gotten a good laugh at my expense! Taken in the West Elk Wilderness near Crested Butte, Colorado.
