The Snowy Cloak of Aldeyjarfoss by Erez Marom
Arguably the most beautiful and impressive waterfall I've ever seen, Aldeyjarfoss is even more impressive in its frozen winter clothing, and this image doesn't begin to do it justice. In winter, it is reachable only by super jeeps, but making the effort to get there was definitely worth the hardship. The 20-meter-high waterfall is part of the river Skjálfandafljót, and is famous for its hexagonal basalt columns, belonging to the Suðurárhraun lava field. We will be visiting Aldeyjarfoss on a wild super-jeep ride during my upcoming 'Winter Paradise' workshop. If you'd like to experience and shoot these awesome locations under my dedicated guidance, please check out my upcoming 'Land of Ice' (south Iceland) and 'Winter Paradise' (northern Iceland) photography workshops next January! You're also welcome to follow me on my facebook page, where you can get a first look at my images, as well as get all the info about my work, photo tours and other news.
